Blood Pressure in the Body By Carmen Maendel
I took three trials of blood pressure measurements for both myself and my friend Cassandra. I made sure that we were in a quiet room, our legs were uncrossed, and our elbows were at about a 45 degree angle when taking the following readings for both Cassandra and myself. I also made sure that we did not move or talk while taking the blood pressure readings. The first reading for Cassandra was 106/64. The second one was 100/61 and the third one read as 91/57. Her middle reading was the following: systolic (100) and diastolic (61). I also took my own blood pressure that day following the same procedures. I had 101/60 for my first reading, and 96/54 for a second followed by 97/54 for my third reading. My middle reading was the following: systolic (96) and diastolic (54). When comparing Cassandra’s systolic (100) and diastolic (61)...

She explained to me some of the different exercises and treatments that she does with her patients to help alleviate and diminish some of this pain. We explored several of the therapeutic methods used commonly in the field of sports medicine. I proposed the question of whether or not she felt these were specific enough and were there important conditions and treatments left out that she...
