Josh's 14th Birthday & Robotics & Engineering

What am I doing lounging in the common's area of Staples Central Lakes College?
 
Glad you asked! 😉
 
There is a young man at our church that has been so kind and has come along side Josh as a mentor and friend. He invited Josh today to come to his college to visit his class, and see a presentation on Robotics and Engineering including a fun tour of their lab. Josh has expressed interest in this field before.
 
I am  waiting for Josh as I pretend I am in college again. Just kidding! Four undergraduate degrees from one college (Cornell) and two universities (UW Madison & Stevens Point) are enough for me! 😉
 
Before we left, he gave me a quick tour as well! Josh showed me the robots he used to move boxes onto a conveyor belt after the codes were already programed in. This stuff is truly fascinating!
 
What a fun way for Josh to learn about Robotics and Engineering and celebrate his birthday today! 😀
